I lost some friends the past few years.
I gave most away, you were stolen from me.
If I’m the next one to go too soon I’ve got a few things left I want to say.

I want to drive and never come home.
I want to lie and never be known as a liar as a thief as a man who just grits his teeth through a forty hour week.

If you’re the next one to go too soon, is there anything left you want to say?

Am I living this life or is this the flash before my dying eyes.

If you find this notebook please don’t read it I got so much off of my chest.
But I didn’t mean it.
I learned so much from all these scars I’ve grown and they’re starting to feel like wounds again.
I can’t keep from picking at the scabs, I know what happened but I can’t help but feel this is all my fault.

Will time heal all our wounds?

I can’t sleep but I still wake up.

Once my eyes dry I promise I’ll keep them wide.
I’ll swim upstream before I let the tides decide for me.

I’m sorry I thought I’d be so much stronger than this. I’ll swim upstream. Can’t you see I learned so much from all these scars?
